Nursing and college programs
Taking the Wonderlic SLE?
Many nursing and allied-health programs use the Wonderlic Scholastic Level Exam (SLE). It follows the same format as the classic Wonderlic test: 50 questions in 12 minutes, mixing verbal, math and logic questions. Each program sets its own minimum score, so check yours. This free practice test uses that format and pace.

How this free Wonderlic-style practice test works
The questions above mix math, verbal, logic and clerical items the way the real test does, with a countdown of about 14 seconds a question. When you finish you'll see your score, your result for each of the four question types, and every question with the answer and the fastest way to get it.
You don't need an account. A short practice test is a small sample, so use it to see which question types slow you down, then drill those.
Why speed matters more than difficulty
50 questions in 12 minutes leaves 14.4 seconds each, and very few people finish. Most of the score comes from answering easy and medium questions quickly, not from solving the hardest ones.
Every explanation here ends with a 10-second shortcut, such as finding 10% first and building other percents from it, or comparing codes in short chunks. Those shortcuts are what move a score.
The four question types
Math word problems (percentages, rates, ratios, averages, prices) and vocabulary questions make up most of the test in our estimate, followed by logic (series, syllogisms, ordering) and clerical checking (matching names and numbers). Wonderlic does not publish an official breakdown, so treat these proportions as a guide.

Wonderlic exam FAQ
How many questions are on the Wonderlic test?
The classic Wonderlic Personnel Test has 50 questions with a 12-minute limit. Some employers use a shorter version, so check your invitation for the exact format.
What is a good Wonderlic score?
There is no single passing score. Each employer sets its own minimum for the job, and higher-responsibility roles usually ask for more. The classic Wonderlic Personnel Test scored the number of correct answers out of 50, and published averages by job use that scale. The current Wonderlic Select test is scored by Wonderlic's own algorithm and doesn't give candidates a single number, so our score is a practice estimate on the classic scale.
Can I use a calculator on the Wonderlic?
The standard test does not allow one, which is why every question here is built to be solved in your head. Check your employer's instructions for your version.
Are these real Wonderlic questions?
No. Quizprep is an independent study tool, not affiliated with Wonderlic, Inc. Every question is original and written to match the published format: mixed question types, short stems, and a strict time limit.
Should I guess if I run out of time?
Wonderlic's own instructions say blind guessing is unlikely to improve your score, and its advice is not to spend too long on one question or skip around planning to come back. If you're stuck, rule out what you can, pick your best answer and move on.
